CCI France focuses on helping SMEs

THE French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (CCI France) has organized a social media forum for several of its members with the aim of assisting members and interested individuals with their business.

During the Agrifood and Tourism Committee Meeting: Social Media 101, CCI France, in partnership with the integrated and creative media agency Havas Media Ortega held on August 25, 2022, CCI France Philippines Chairman of the Agrifood and Tourism Pierre Marmonier said ever since their first meeting, the chamber has organized several programs and seminars to help various small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“The objectives of our group’s committee were to bring together around this team of French and Filipino entrepreneurs and to constitute a support platform for their businesses. This digital seminar project is one of them”, specifies Marmonier.

The chamber first presented some updates from their agribusiness and tourism committee, as Marmonier said in his update that the assembly derived two subcommittees from their meetings.

“The first aims to help small [and] medium-sized companies with their respective activities on topics such as social media engagement, while the second sub-committee we formed focuses on knowledge transfer of French tableware with several key business ideas for the hospitality and food and beverage industries,” Marmonier explained.

This was followed by a discussion of the planned four-day seminar with interested parties on the topic of maximizing online platforms and advertising for their businesses.

Shayne Madamba, Digital Director of Havas Media Ortega, spoke with the attending members about the importance of social media platforms in advertising and how trends have changed so suddenly and what they can do right now to attract customers to their businesses.

“Over the past two years, we have really felt a sea change in the whole importance of digitization because of the pandemic,” Madamba pointed out during her speech. “We now encounter them in every business and we have no choice but to do the same or be left behind.”

She also presented several success and failure stories, social media interaction patterns, tips on using basic Facebook features to promote your business, tips on effective advertising and other related topics condensed into one effective discussion session.

Finally, the committee encouraged members to attend its seminar on digital marketing, which introduces the Havas Ortega agency and further explains Madamba’s speech. It will be held every Friday in September from 2-4pm at their Makati office and is open to anyone who is interested.
