Mycronic receives an order for an SLX mask engraver

STOCKHOLM, January 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Mycronic AB (publ) has received an order for an SLX mask engraver from an existing customer in Asia. The command value is within the range of $4-6 million. Delivery of the system is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

The SLX laser mask engraver addresses the growing demand for photomasks for the semiconductor industry and a future need for replacement and retrofitting. Photomasks produced by laser mask makers are of great importance and account for 70-75% of all photomasks produced for semiconductor manufacturing. SLX is a new modern mask editor based on the same technology as Mycronic’s mask writers for screens.

“Strong global demand for semiconductors continues to drive the need for more photomasks.

We are pleased with the continued high interest in the SLX and appreciate the opportunity to deliver the second SLX mask engraver to an existing customer,” says Charlotte Samuelson, Sr VP Pattern Generators at Mycronic.

Mycronic provides mask engravers for screen manufacturing and semiconductor production.
